How Tessorio Uses AI

Effective October 4, 2026 · Version 2026-10-04
Draft under legal review. Tessorio is in a private beta, and this document may change before public launch.
The short version. This summary helps you find your way; the full text below is what applies.
  • Almost everything in a Tessorio lesson is made by AI: the script, the narration voice, many pictures, the tutor, practice, and labs.
  • AI makes mistakes. Treat lessons like a good study guide, not the final word, and check anything important.
  • We don't train AI on learners, and names are removed before anything is sent to an AI provider.

1. What AI makes

PartHow it's made
Course plans and lessonsWritten by large language models from your request, your answers to setup questions, official topic lists where we have them, and any material you add.
NarrationA synthetic (AI) voice reads the lesson. It isn't a real person's voice.
Pictures and clipsSome are real photos or diagrams from Wikimedia Commons, credited on screen. Others are drawn by AI and labelled as generated.
TutorAnswers questions during a lesson. It's an AI, not a person, and it's guided to stay on the lesson.
Practice and gradingFlashcards, tests, hints and some grading of written answers are AI-made.
LabsInteractive activities are written by AI and run in a sandbox in your browser.

2. Limits

  • AI can state wrong facts confidently, skip steps, mis-grade an answer, or draw a picture that's inaccurate.
  • Check important facts, formulas, safety steps and anything you'll be tested on against your textbook, teacher or an official source.
  • Tessorio is not medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional advice, and it doesn't replace licensed training or a qualified teacher.
  • Scores, readiness checks and certificates show activity in Tessorio; they aren't accredited credentials.
  • If something looks wrong, use the lesson's tools to ask for a fix or a rebuild, or tell us at support@tessorio.com.

3. What AI providers receive

  • Names of everyone on the account, email addresses and phone numbers are removed before a request leaves our server.
  • Anything about a learner goes only to paid providers that have agreed not to keep it after answering and not to train on it.
  • Uploaded files are read on our server and only extracted text is used, except pictures a teacher or creator marks as references for AI drawings, which are sent to Google's image service after a privacy check.
  • We don't use learners' content or information to train AI models.

Details are in our Privacy Policy and Service Providers list.

4. Safety for young learners

Lessons are adjusted to the learner's grade and reading level, and the tutor is instructed to stay on the lesson and decline unsafe topics. No filter is perfect: parents and teachers should supervise young learners and tell us about anything inappropriate.
